Float Health, a healthcare startup on a mission to bring all non-hospital care to patients’ homes, proudly announces its acceptance into the prestigious Y Combinator Winter 2022 Batch. This milestone comes on the heels of Float’s successful launch in August 2021 and its rapid expansion from San Diego into Orange County, California.
Since its inception, Float Health has been committed to revolutionizing healthcare delivery by moving routine care out of hospitals and into the comfort of patients’ homes. This model makes routine care for patients with chronic conditions safer, easier, and more cost effective. Currently serving patients in San Diego and Orange County, Float Health facilitates dozens of visits per month, providing essential services such as home infusions, injections, and testing.
In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Float Health has also stepped up to support COVID-positive patients, recognizing that in-home care not only benefits patients but also helps reduce exposure risks associated with hospital visits.
”Being accepted into Y Combinator is a tremendous honor and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team,” said Christy Johnson, cofounder and COO of Float Health. “We’re excited to join the ranks of innovative startups that have emerged from YC” said Ryan Johnson, cofounder and CEO of Float Health, “we’re already leveraging this opportunity to further our mission of making healthcare less costly, more accessible, and more convenient for everyone from patients to nurses to hospitals to payers.”
Y Combinator is renowned as the world’s most impactful startup accelerator, boasting an impressive alumni network that includes industry giants like Airbnb, Stripe, DoorDash, Coinbase, and many other companies that have revolutionized their respective fields through innovative software solutions.
